So here’s the culprit. A great horned owl seems to have his eye on the nest. This was on October 29, the first night we saw him hanging around the nest. It’s a good thing that Chris and Phil got the infrared illumination up and working again with their ascent a couple of weeks ago. Our partners at Cornell Lab of Ornithology have gone back and searched the video footage they’ve been capturing and found a number of visits. For now, enjoy this one and we’ll share more as we receive them!
