  1. While playing Palmetto on Saturday, Feb 14, our group spotted the Bald Eagle, whose nest the great horned owls appropriated. He was on his old perch at the top of a dead tree by the marsh. I wonder what he is thinking?

    • Tom, thanks for letting us all know. We get reports of a very large eagle spotted by itself at various places on the island. That it is back on a favorite perch it quite interesting! Wonder if it’s making plans for refurbishing the nest for next year?
