An Alberta Clipper system is sweeping across the northwest to the northeast, bringing single digit temperatures to much of the country. While our weather is going to be much warmer than that, this is our first seriously cold night here in Savannah Georgia. It’s currently about 26 degrees headed to 22 degrees, and the winds are over 20 knots. Our Great Horned Owl is hunkered down keeping the two eggs warm while the wind whips around her. Hope Dad brings her something to eat – it’s not a good night to leave the eggs alone even for a few minutes!
