Is there any video of hatching and as newborns?

They were fascinating and funny too. Really miss them.

Thanks.

Really enjoyed watching them and learning about their habits and behaviors. This year I got to see them right from when the first egg was laid, I missed that last year.

Won’t be the same once they fledge and leave the nest permanently.

Its been a pleasure to watch them, thank you!

I was recuperating from surgery the past two weeks and spent most of my time watching the live feeds. I really felt sorry for O-2 in the empty nest on Sunday. You can tell it really missed O-1.

The owlets stood close, leaning against one another. Then, Owlet #1 flew to the lower branches right near the nest a few times, but didn’t go far. #2 hopped on a lower branch briefly. I signed off about 2:15 am and they were huddled together in the nest. Was concerned because I don’t think they ate at all yesterday, but mom seems to have really come through with the provisions today.

Just like last year it will be sad not to be able to look in on them if only for a few minutes each day. Of course we all hope they have a wonderful life and raise many more young wherever they might end up.

I wonder too about the tree the owls are in, if its dead will it be removed at some point? When that happens can you find another nesting site for the owls? I know THEY can find one but it may not be as consipicuous as this one was.

Continued success and thanks to all!
