Yes, I wonder if that’s her asking Dad to bring her food? She dropped out of the nest 1/20 at about 7:00 for 5 minutes or so, making the same call. If she was hunting, I’m sure she wouldn’t be making any noise. Still haven’t seen Dad, though…

I was able to catch her fly from the nest around 5:45am EST, she was gone for about 6 minutes and returned.

She seems to be doing some sort of nesting screech, every 10 second(ish) interval. And yes she is turning the eggs.

She will do this every few hours in order to keep the heat evenly distributed and to keep the developing owlet from sticking to the inside of the shell.
