One of the chicks was enjoying the afternoon sun a few hours ago, tucked under Mom’s feathers and we get a great look at just how wide it can open it’s mouth. The chicks are growing fast!

In this video I say that Mom is nearsighted and that’s why she lifts her head and rears back when examining prey in the nest. I meant to say she’s farsighted! These are called Tiger Owls with good reason. Check out the resemblance!
